LAPA

July 2010 · Lisbon, Portugal · Completed in December 2010

This apartment is a typical Lisbon flat on the 2nd floor of a corner building from the beginning of the 20th century. The main objectives of this apartment were to liberate space, creating larger social areas, relocate the kitchen, and allow light to flow in, by creating perpendicular passages through the corridor uniting both façades. These passages can be controlled by pivotal panels in lacquered MDF. Kitchens and bathrooms were tiled in Portuguese stones.

This project was developed at Chp Arquitectos while acting as managing partner.
